Lawrence Dunning is an investor, developer, broker and best-selling author who is passionate about spreading his knowledge on real estate investing. His presentation will cover the entire theory of why Real Estate isn’t taught in MBA programs, how it's such a powerful and unique investment tool, what he calls the “forgotten” asset class and will expand on its multiple benefits, such a cash flow, debt paydown, appreciation and (most importantly for high income earners) tax benefits through depreciation.
We are coming out of a very difficult environment for investors; interest rates are the highest they have been in half a century, but there seems like there is some light at the end of the tunnel. With the recent interest rate cut from the Federal reserve where will real estate prices be heading post-election and into the spring of 2025? Is now a good time to buy or is waiting a better option? Can investors time the market? How does the volatility of real estate in the Midwest compare to that around the country and how does it compare to other asset classes like stocks, bonds and cash? We hope to have an informative and entertaining discussion about everything related to real estate investing and the best way to approach investing in todays’ market.
Anyone who has an interest in real estate investing is invited to attend our General Meeting. Each month a different speaker will share information on topics relating to the many aspects of investing in real estate and being a landlord. Our General Meetings provide a great opportunity to network with experienced real estate investors from all over the Chicago land area. We also have an extensive real estate library for our members to use. The General Meeting is held on the 2nd Monday of each month.
