Fernando started out when he was 23 on the residential side of the world with wholesaling small deals and acquiring residential rentals. He then went on to build a multi-family rental portfolio. However, in preparing for the next down cycle while also getting fed up with the increasingly more tenant-friendly laws that were being passed around the country, he decided to trade up into self-storage.
Now as a 29 year old, Fernando has grown his self-storage portfolio to north of 370,000 square feet producing north of $550,000 in Net Operating Income per year and did it in less than 24 months.
Fernando would love to share how he transitioned from small residential deals to self-storage and how it has freed up his time to do the things he loves while producing more income with half the amount of management.

Whether you own 200 units or have no real estate experience, anyone who has an interest in real estate investing is invited to attend our General Meeting. Each month a different speaker will share information on topics relating to the many aspects of investing in real estate and being a landlord. Our General Meetings provide a great opportunity to network with experienced real estate investors from all over the Chicago land area. We also have an extensive real estate library for our members to use. The General Meeting is held on the 2nd Monday of each month.
