Douglas Katz has been in the lending industry since 2001. In that time, he has worked with a variety of lenders in roles ranging from direct origination to management and business development. In 2014, Doug moved from the residential world to the investment space as the Senior Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for Jordan Capital Finance (now Finance America Commercial), where he oversaw the growth of the company’s sales in the fix-and-flip and buy-and-hold market. Now with Katz Funding, Doug and his wife Kim provide acquisition and long-term financing for real estate investors in a variety of different markets.
Doug is an Army Veteran and a graduate of The United States Military Academy at West Point. Additionally, he is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago where he earned his MBA. When not working, Doug practices Aikido, a martial art where he holds the rank of Black Belt. Doug is married with 3 children and 3 dogs and he currently resides in Oak Park or at his home in Union Pier, Michigan.

A Member's & Non-Member's Event
Whether you own 200 units or have no real estate experience, anyone who has an interest in real estate investing is invited to attend our General Meeting. Each month a different speaker will share information on topics relating to the many aspects of investing in real estate and being a landlord. Our General Meetings provide a great opportunity to network with experienced real estate investors from all over the Chicago land area. We also have an extensive real estate library for our members to use. The General Meeting is held on the 2nd Monday of each month.
